Who is responsible for your information
Stockholm IT Academi AB is responsible for personal information handled through Stockholm IT Academy. Our registered address is Fallskärmsgatan 1, lgh 1302, 128 34 Skarpnäck, Sweden. You can ask a privacy question using the WhatsApp button below.
Information we use
We use the details you give us when you register, enrol, learn or ask for help. This can include your name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, selected course and cohort, learning activity, assignment and quiz progress, support requests, payment status and communication preferences.
We also keep the source of a registration, such as a campaign link or page, and the date and version of the legal documents you accepted. This helps us provide the right journey and demonstrate your choices.
Why we use it
We use information to create and protect your account, provide live classes and learning materials, answer support requests, process enrolment and payment records, prevent misuse, improve the academy and meet legal or accounting obligations. We send course updates and promotions by email, phone or WhatsApp only when you have agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that optional consent without losing portal access.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as there is a genuine learning, support, legal or accounting need. Our default periods are:
- Unverified registration details: 90 days
- Marketing lead records: 24 months after your last meaningful engagement
- Learning and support records: 24 months after course access ends
- Consent evidence: 5 years after consent is withdrawn
- Certificate records: 7 years
- Financial records: 7 years after the relevant financial year ends
Our portal currently removes anonymous, unverified non-marketing leads after 90 days and inactive consented marketing leads after 24 months. It redacts processed webhook payloads after 90 days and terminal notification content after 24 months when the learner has no active access. Learning, certificate, financial and legal records follow the relevant retention period and are not removed by these automated controls.
We may keep a limited record for longer where a law, dispute, fraud-prevention need or legitimate record-keeping obligation requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, limit or receive a copy of your information, or object to particular processing where the law gives you that right. You can change message preferences in the portal when signed in. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection if you believe your information has been handled incorrectly.
